Seven newcomers join Counselor’s annual list<\/em><\/p>\n

TREVOSE, PA<\/strong>\u00a0– November 9, 2010<\/strong> – The Advertising Specialty Institute today unveiled the Counselor<\/em> Power 50 list of the industry\u2019s most influential business leaders.<\/p>\n

The 50 high-ranking leaders were recognized at the fourth annual ASI Power Summit in Aventura, Florida, as the ones who drive the market, create new strategies, execute the latest trends and sway the industry. Their contributions impact the way distributors and suppliers do business.<\/p>\n

The Neal Award-winning Counselor<\/em> magazine is one of ASI\u2019s six B-to-B publications and is considered the \u201cvoice\u201d of the $16 billion promotional products industry.<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe Counselor<\/em> Power 50 list highlights the movers and shakers in the ad specialty industry, the ones who create the buzz, drive the industry and push the business boundaries,\u201d said Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI. \u201cThis year, 4Imprint\u2019s president and CEO Kevin Lyons-Tarr jumped from No. 11 to the top spot for being a cutting-edge leader in the emerging world of ad specialty e-commerce. According to his peers, he wields considerable power over the industry that extends well beyond the financial bottom line.\u201d<\/p>\n

      The ranking is determined by a panel of editorial experts at the award-winning Counselor<\/em> magazine.\u00a0Using last year\u2019s list as a starting point, the panel surveyed the industry at-large and each of the previous Power 50, asking them to rate whether each person has gained or lost influence over the past year, and to nominate new candidates. The panel also carefully weighed nominees\u2019 achievements and revenue throughout the year and the health of their companies.<\/p>\n

      The ASI Power Summit is an exclusive event attended by more than 200 executives and business leaders from around the globe who discuss vital issues, identify best practices and determine ways in which the ad specialty industry can productively move forward.<\/p>\n
