{"id":2392,"date":"2016-06-06T13:38:10","date_gmt":"2016-06-06T13:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asi2.wpenginepowered.com\/uncategorized\/asi-show-in-dallas-reports-strong-attendance\/"},"modified":"2025-06-26T15:34:04","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T19:34:04","slug":"asi-show-in-dallas-reports-strong-attendance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asicentral.com\/press-releases\/asi-show-in-dallas-reports-strong-attendance\/","title":{"rendered":"ASI Show in Dallas Reports Strong Attendance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Attracts Nearly 1,400 Distributor Firms; 21% of Attendees at Education Day<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"style5\">TREVOSE, PA<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<span class=\"style5 style4\">\u2013 <strong>February 3, 2010 \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"style5\">The Advertising Specialty Institute\u00ae reported today its Dallas show attracted distributors from 1,383 firms, off just 3% from last year and up slightly from 2008.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style5 style4\">Total distributor attendance was 3,300 for 2010, down only about 250 attendees from last year, excluding a one-time third party event hosted at the 2009 ASI Dallas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style5 style4\">There were about 500 suppliers at ASI Dallas, compared with 523 last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style5 style4\">\u201cWe\u2019re pleased with our attendance this year, and especially pleased with the steady stream of attendees who were conducting business throughout both show days,\u201d said Timothy M. Andrews, president of <em>The ASI Show<\/em> and president and chief executive officer of ASI.\u00a0 \u201cThe trends at ASI Dallas match those of other shows.\u00a0 The number of firms attending is about the same as last year, but each firm is bringing slightly fewer people, reflecting downsizing from a soft economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"style5 style4\">\u201cThe good news is that we\u2019re focused on growing quality attendance in a productive show environment that helps distributors, suppliers and decorators seize momentum and forge ahead, making 2010 a turning point for the industry,\u201d said Andrews.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style5 style4\">In addition to education, networking and entertainment, attendees were energized in an interactive keynote presentation by ASI senior vice president, Dale Denham, who advised attendees on how to build their brand and their business with social networking.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style5 style4\">The Dallas show, held Monday, February 1, through Wednesday, February 3, at the Dallas Convention Center, is the largest industry event in the Southwest. \u00a0ASI Dallas featured thousands of new products and services for the start of the year, more than 700 attendees at 55 education workshops (sponsored by Fields Mfg., <em>asi\/54100<\/em>), and the ever-popular Ultimate Texas Bash at Eddie Deen\u2019s Ranch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style5 style4\">Dallas is home to the second largest number of distributors.\u00a0 Suppliers were pleased with the quality of attendees and with the traffic during the two exhibition days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cASI Dallas has been fantastic for us,\u201d said Ralph Horack, of Gemini Industries (<em>asi\/56100<\/em>). \u201cThere\u2019s been a nice traffic flow, good people, lots of interest and not just the \u2018stop and scan me.\u2019 \u00a0Distributors are coming by asking questions and wanting to learn about our products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDallas has probably been the best <em>ASI Show<\/em> I\u2019ve done in the last three to four years,\u201d said Jeff Jacobson of Impact Advertising (<em>asi\/62293<\/em>). \u00a0\u201cWe\u2019ve had amazing booth traffic and seen lots of interest. \u00a0We\u2019ve written several orders right in the booth and could not be happier with the turnout. \u00a0The distributors who are stopping by are asking good questions and are interested in the products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ASI Dallas Show is perfect,\u201d said Mark Gammon of The Vernon Company (<em>asi\/351700<\/em>). \u201cThe show has been amazing with the products and the suppliers we want to see. \u00a0Our preferred and accommodated suppliers all attend and it\u2019s a perfect time for us to catch up in one place. \u00a0You guys have done a fantastic job.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel really good about my distributors seeing the hottest products on the show floor, so they can bring fresh ideas back to their distributorships,\u201d said Gary Tuchler of Brown &amp;
