{"id":2372,"date":"2016-06-06T13:38:09","date_gmt":"2016-06-06T13:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asi2.wpenginepowered.com\/uncategorized\/study-shows-promotional-products-most-effective-advertising-medium-next-to-internet\/"},"modified":"2025-06-22T17:01:07","modified_gmt":"2025-06-22T21:01:07","slug":"study-shows-promotional-products-most-effective-advertising-medium-next-to-internet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asicentral.com\/press-releases\/study-shows-promotional-products-most-effective-advertising-medium-next-to-internet\/","title":{"rendered":"Study Shows Promotional Products Most Effective Advertising Medium Next to Internet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Buyers prefer creativity from distributors 2-to-1 versus lower product price<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>TREVOSE, PA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 <strong>November 3, 2009<\/strong> \u2013 The Advertising Specialty Institute\u00ae, the largest media and marketing organization serving the advertising specialty industry, today announced the results of an exclusive study showing that end-buyers identify promotional products as the most effective medium among all advertising except the Internet.\u00a0 <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Results also show end-buyers prefer\u00a0that distributors provide \u201ccreativity\u201d two-to-one versus low prices on products, indicating that distributors can tap a real opportunity to strengthen business partnerships when they provide out-of-the-box ideas for their clients\u2019 marketing campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the study reveals that nearly one-half, or 48%, of respondents indicated that promotional products are expected to deliver a positive Return on Investment (ROI).\u00a0 Those who have the highest expectations for promotional products ROI will spend significantly more money on them this year than those who don\u2019t expect a return.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of good news here for distributors,\u201d said Larry Basinait, executive director of research services at the Advertising Specialty Institute.\u00a0 \u201cFirst, buyers clearly see the value of promotional products. \u00a0Second, distributors who train their salespeople to be creative partners to their clients are in hot demand right now. \u00a0Most buyers are looking for smart ideas, rather than simply the lowest-priced items.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The study also suggests that if buyers know how to use promotional products to increase their sales, they\u2019re likely to spend more money on them, according to Basinait. \u00a0\u201cIt clearly pays for distributors to train their salespeople to educate end-buyers about the effectiveness of advertising specialties,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Another ASI report, the ASI\u2019s Advertising Specialties Impressions Study serves as a powerful educational tool for distributors and their salespeople to use to prove to clients that promotional products provide a better return on investment than virtually all other forms of advertising media.<\/p>\n<p>The results of the ASI end-buyer study were released at the 2009 ASI Power Summit in San Diego, California, an exclusive event attended by nearly 200 executives and business leaders from around the globe.<\/p>\n<p>Additional resources and studies are available among a comprehensive set of educational and statistical research from ASI, including the annual <em>State of the Industry<\/em>\u2122 report, quarterly sales reports and the ASI Social Networking Study.<\/p>\n<article><\/article>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Buyers prefer creativity from distributors 2-to-1 versus lower product price TREVOSE, PA\u00a0\u2013 November 3, 2009 \u2013 The Advertising Specialty Institute\u00ae,&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":1482,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2372","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-press-releases"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.5 (Yoast SEO v27.5) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-premium-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Study Shows Promotional Products Most Effective Advertising Medium Next to Internet &#8226;
