Education, Keynote Sessions Packed With Attendees and New Ideas<\/em><\/p>\n

TREVOSE, PA<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 September 17, 2009 \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0The ASI Show<\/a><\/em> announced that its Holiday & Incentives Expo, which previewed this week in Las Vegas, met with enthusiastic responses from distributors and suppliers eager to gather marketing and product ideas to help build momentum toward a strong close to 2009.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The only national trade show focused on products for the important fall and holiday selling seasons, the ASI Holiday & Incentives Expo took place at the Sands Expo Center from Tuesday, September 15 through Thursday, September 17. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event was specifically designed to feature hot, unique items for the holiday and gift-buying seasons, guaranteeing strong fourth-quarter sales for distributors, suppliers and decorators.\u00a0 Suppliers exhibiting were qualified in advance and have earned at least four-stars in the ASI Supplier Ratings System.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe were delighted so many suppliers and distributors joined us in Vegas to gear up for the holiday selling season and make that critical year-end push,\u201d said Timothy M. Andrews, president of The ASI Show<\/em> and president and chief executive officer of ASI. \u00a0\u201cSuppliers represented the cr\u00e8me de la cr\u00e8me of the industry and distributors were incredibly impressed with both the quality of suppliers and the number of great show specials being offered.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Distributor and decorator attendance for the new show was about 1,500, from 48 states and 12 countries. \u00a0Education Day drew more than 500 distributors during the first day of the show.<\/span><\/p>\n

Suppliers enjoyed steady traffic, myriad networking opportunities and exposure to quality distributors during the two exhibition days.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe traffic has almost been too heavy,\u201d shared Karen Cohen, vice president, All-In-One (asi\/34256<\/em>). \u201cWe\u2019ve been having a hard time keeping up with the amount of distributors stopping by. Distributors are asking questions and wanting to learn about the product – there\u2019s very little \u2018scan and go.\u2019 \u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been great, it\u2019s been action-packed,\u201d said Bonni Sandy, executive vice president, Dard Products, (asi\/48500<\/em>). \u00a0\u201cThe distributors are incredibly serious and know the fourth quarter is going to pick up. \u00a0We\u2019ve seen good quality distributors, including a lot of the Top 40.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe traffic has been very good,\u201d said Larry Wilhelm, president, Custom HBC Corp. (asi\/47934<\/em>). \u00a0\u201cThe distributors stopping in to see us wanted to learn about the product.\u00a0 We expected attendance to be mostly from the West Coast, however distributors are from all over the country.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI was surprised to see distributors from New York, Florida, Arkansas and some from Texas,\u201d said Karen Mannino, regional sales manager, RS Owens & Company (asi\/75530<\/em>). \u00a0\u201cWe have had a very good show experience. \u00a0I\u2019ve actually walked away with some projects and quotes to work on.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe ASI Holiday & Incentives Expo has been excellent,\u201d said Steve Weisbaum, sales representative, Sweda Company (asi\/90305<\/em>). \u00a0\u201cI think our company has actually set a record for selling the highest number of samples and kits of any other Southwest show that we\u2019ve done. Distributors are really hungry for holiday, gift-giving ideas and we are thrilled to be here.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Distributors say ASI delivered a year-end punch at a time when they need it most.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe ASI Holiday & Incentives Expo has been terrific,\u201d said Ross Silverstein, president and CEO, iPROMOTEu (asi\/232119<\/em>). \u00a0\u201cThis time of year is perfect for a show of this sort. \u00a0I\u2019ve met with a number of suppliers that I don\u2019t usually see and I definitely found many new products that I haven\u2019t seen in the past.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been absolutely wonderful, some of the best vendors are here,\u201d said Caren Mikesh, owner, Caren Mikesh & Associates Promos (asi\/271129<\/em>). \u00a0\u201cHaving only suppliers with four or more stars in the ASI Supplier Ratings System is really great. \u00a0These are the companies who have good, quality products with good names behind them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a great experience at the ASI Holiday & Incentives Expo,\u201d shared Forrest Fairley, director of customer relations, Safeguard (asi\/316203<\/em>). \u00a0\u201cI absolutely feel much more confident in the quality of the suppliers at this show, because they have to have four or more stars. \u00a0This show is perfect for Safeguard, because every supplier on the floor is a great supplier for us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
