Features Hot People List, New Products for Clients and Business Trends to Watch<\/em><\/p>\n

TREVOSE, PA \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0August 18, 2008<\/strong>\u00a0–<\/strong> Advertising Specialty Institute\u00ae, the largest media and marketing organization serving the advertising specialty industry, announced today that it published the first HOT issue from Counselor<\/em>\u00ae magazine featuring the exclusive list of 37 hot people.<\/p>\n

In addition to the new hot people list,\u00a0the issue\u00a0features snapshots of 40 hot products to sell to clients and identifies important business trends affecting how advertising specialty companies are moving forward.<\/p>\n

People named to the HOT list are trend-spotters who are launching new products, using technology and leveraging green initiatives to make money.\u00a0 Distributors and suppliers can learn from their experiences that are featured in their profiles, including\u00a0how they use blogs and YouTube videos for promotions.<\/p>\n

The \u201cprized products\u201d section provides descriptions of 40 hot, functional and sometimes sexy products for distributors to sell to clients, and highlights products that readers voted as the best in eight categories.\u00a0 Products include a bean bag chair shaped as a stiletto heel shoe and a USB drive encased in bamboo.<\/p>\n

Important business trends are also featured in the issue, including five laws that are reshaping how companies are doing business, ideas for navigating the waters when marketing to America\u2019s growing Hispanic population and new apparel trends in the award-winning \u201cApparel Hot Sheet\u201d section.<\/p>\n

Counselor<\/em> magazine is the leading publication for distributor principals in the advertising specialty industry and this year won two American Society of Business Publication Editors awards for its \u201cState of the Industry\u201d issue and apparel coverage.\u00a0 It has also received two Neal Awards for editorial excellence.<\/p>\n
