TREVOSE, PA \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0November 13, 2007<\/strong>\u00a0–<\/strong> Advertising Specialty Institute\u00ae, the largest media and marketing organization serving the advertising specialty industry, announced today its second annual Counselor<\/em>\u00ae Power 50 ranking to recognize the industry\u2019s most influential leaders.\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/p>\n

The Counselor<\/em> Power 50 reflects an impressive group of principals at innovative and successful industry companies, who set the tone for the marketplace today and whom other distributors and suppliers emulate in their leadership practices and business operations.<\/p>\n

The 2007 ranking includes 12 individuals new to the list, determined by a panel of editorial experts at Counselor<\/em> magazine, \u201cthe voice of the industry.\u201d \u00a0To compile the list, the panel first sent a survey to industry members, asking them to nominate potential newcomers to the list and to also indicate whether those on last year\u2019s list should move up or down or be removed. \u00a0The panel also carefully weighed other factors, such as nominees\u2019 achievements throughout the year and the health of their companies.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first Counselor<\/em> Power 50 ranking was extremely well-received last year and readers requested we continue to compile it every year,\u201d said Rich Fairfield, publisher for ASI. \u00a0\u201cThe ranking recognizes the 50 most powerful people in the advertising specialty industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s group was announced at the inaugural ASI Power Summit,\u201d said Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI.\u00a0 \u201cThe exclusive event was attended by nearly 200 executives and business leaders from around the world who discuss timely and provocative ideas to make business better, determine solutions for industry problems and share their best practices to move the marketplace forward – and provides an appropriate atmosphere to announce the Counselor<\/em> Power 50.\u201d<\/p>\n
