TREVOSE, PA \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0October 10, 2007<\/strong>\u00a0–<\/strong> Advertising Specialty Institute\u00ae, the largest media and marketing organization serving the advertising specialty industry, announced today that it launched the \u2018Why I Love My ASI Membership\u2019 contest. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Twelve ASI members will each be selected at random from qualified entries to receive one free year of ASI basic membership, and a $250 American Express gift card.\u00a0 Winners will also be featured in Counselor<\/em> magazine and on a special Website, at www.TheNumberThatMatters.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis contest came about when ASI members indicated in a recent survey that, without a doubt, they love their ASI membership because it helps them do more business,\u201d said Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI.\u00a0 \u201cThe survey proves that ASI has the number that matters in the advertising specialty industry \u2013 the ASI membership number.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn fact, 94% of distributors who responded said that they use the ASI number when looking for information about a supplier, and 93% of suppliers and distributors indicated that the ASI number is the number one way they identify another industry professional,\u201d said Andrews.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Respondents also indicated that the top five benefits of ASI membership are: \u00a0credibility, recognition, knowledge, trust and innovative solutions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese results are impressive, but a survey is mostly quantitative, not qualitative,\u201d said Andrews.\u00a0 \u201cIn other words, I want the stories behind our members\u2019 success.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a supplier, perhaps your story is about how ASI\u2019s 130,000 distributor salespeople increased your sales.\u00a0 As a distributor, your story could be about how ESP Online\u2019s virtual sample tool helped you win a big order.\u00a0 For decorators, maybe your story explains the ways in which an ASI membership has helped you do more business with qualified distributors and suppliers.<\/p>\n

The contest is open to all ASI members and entries must be received by November 30, 2007.<\/p>\n
