{"id":2246,"date":"2016-06-06T13:38:03","date_gmt":"2016-06-06T13:38:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asi2.wpenginepowered.com\/uncategorized\/asi-acquires-modern-uniforms-stitches-and-wearables-business-magazines\/"},"modified":"2016-06-06T13:38:03","modified_gmt":"2016-06-06T13:38:03","slug":"asi-acquires-modern-uniforms-stitches-and-wearables-business-magazines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asicentral.com\/press-releases\/asi-acquires-modern-uniforms-stitches-and-wearables-business-magazines\/","title":{"rendered":"ASI\u00ae Acquires Modern Uniforms, Stitches and Wearables Business Magazines"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/h1>\n<p><strong>TREVOSE, PA \u2013 September 22, 2006 &#8211;<\/strong> Advertising Specialty Institute\u00ae, the largest media and marketing organization serving the advertising specialty industry, announced today that it acquired <em>Modern Uniforms<\/em>,<em> Stitches<\/em> and <em>Wearables Business<\/em> magazines, websites and other assets from Prism Business Media Inc.<\/p>\n<p><em>Wearables Business<\/em> and <em>Modern Uniforms<\/em> principally serve the advertising specialty industry, while <em>Stitches<\/em> magazine serves contract embroidery professionals.\u00a0 Subscribers to <em>Stitches<\/em> often work with ASI distributors and suppliers to decorate promotional items.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe uniforms, embroidery, and general wearables marketplaces are playing larger and more important roles in the advertising specialty industry,\u201d said Timothy M. Andrews, president of ASI.\u00a0 \u201cBy bringing these publications into ASI, we are ensuring that we will be able to help ASI suppliers and distributors reach more buyers, and we can reinforce with readers the quality and integrity provided by the traditional supplier-distributor model.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Andrews said that there are important benefits for both ASI suppliers and distributors from the acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe plan to dramatically improve these\u00a0magazines and their related information products,\u201d Andrews said. \u00a0\u201cWe will make them more compelling for readers and, therefore, more effective tools through which advertisers can deliver their messages.\u00a0 We have learned with our existing magazines &#8211;
