{"id":2116,"date":"2016-10-04T08:21:09","date_gmt":"2016-10-04T08:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asi2.wpenginepowered.com\/uncategorized\/asi-presidential-bumper-sticker-poll-predicts-trump-and-sanders-sweep-super-tuesday\/"},"modified":"2016-10-04T08:21:09","modified_gmt":"2016-10-04T08:21:09","slug":"asi-presidential-bumper-sticker-poll-predicts-trump-and-sanders-sweep-super-tuesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asicentral.com\/press-releases\/asi-presidential-bumper-sticker-poll-predicts-trump-and-sanders-sweep-super-tuesday\/","title":{"rendered":"ASI Presidential Bumper Sticker Poll Predicts Trump and Sanders Sweep Super Tuesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/header>\n<\/article>\n<p><em>ASI predicts winners based on promo poll of primary state voters<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>TREVOSE, PA \u2013 February 26, 2016 \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and Republican Donald Trump will sweep Super Tuesday primaries, according to the Presidential Promo Polls on bumper sticker preferences released today by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.asicentral.com\/\">Advertising Specialty Institute<\/a><sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0(ASI).<\/p>\n<p>With an eye on Tuesday\u2019s political primaries and how promotional products are used in elections, ASI asked residents in primary states this question: If you received a bumper sticker from each of the presidential candidates, which one would you be most willing to put on your car?<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u201cWe purposely chose to ask people about bumper stickers because it is an iconic election promotional product that\u2019s also very personal,\u201d said ASI Editorial Director Andy Cohen. \u201cWhile you might accept and use a branded pen from a candidate you don\u2019t necessarily support, no way would you put a bumper sticker on your car if you didn\u2019t really endorse a candidate.\u201d<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>In the lead-up to Super Tuesday, ASI released\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.asicentral.com\/news\/newsletters\/promogram\/february-2016\/asi-presidential-promo-poll-predicts-super-tuesday-winners?referral=PR\" title=\"Click here for ASI poll results and graphics\">results from voter polls<\/a>\u00a0taken in nine states participating in primaries. Polls were not conducted in caucus states. \u00a0More than 600 people from each state participated in each survey that was fielded among the Google Consumer Survey Network. All responses were collected between Saturday February 20 (after the South Carolina results were announced) and Thursday February 25.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In all nine states, voters ASI polled chose Trump and Sanders by wide margins.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.asicentral.com\/news\/newsletters\/promogram\/february-2016\/asi-presidential-promo-poll-predicts-super-tuesday-winners?referral=PR\" title=\"ASI bumper sticker poll results for Super Tuesday\">Click here<\/a>\u00a0to view results and graphics.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the popularity, in particular, of the Vermont senator with Democrats, versus former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, ASI\u2019s Director of Market Research Nate Kucsma said, come Tuesday, voters ASI polled may end up voting with their heads instead of their hearts. \u201cAlthough our poll tells us a lot of people love Sanders enough to put his bumper sticker on their car, they may end up voting for Hillary because they think she has the best chance to win in November,\u201d Kucsma said. \u201cWhereas Republican voters truly believe that Trump, or whomever else they support, can win it all in November.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span>Super Tuesday takes place on March 1. Below are results from ASI\u2019s Presidential Promo Poll:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Alabama<\/strong>: Trump 53%, Sanders 58%<\/li>\n<li><strong>Arkansas<\/strong>: Trump 51%, Sanders 59%<\/li>\n<li><strong>Georgia<\/strong>: Trump 46%, Sanders 61%<\/li>\n<li><strong>Massachusetts<\/strong>: Trump 50%, Sanders 62%<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oklahoma<\/strong>: Trump 43%, Sanders 64%<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tennessee:<\/strong>\u00a0Trump 50%, Sanders 56%<\/li>\n<li><strong>Texas<\/strong>: Trump: 40%, Sanders 53%<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vermont<\/strong>:\u00a0 Trump 45%, Sanders 91%<\/li>\n<li><strong>Virginia<\/strong>: Trump 43%, Sanders 58%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ASI serves a network of 25,000 suppliers, distributors and decorators in the $22 billion promotional products industry.
