In selecting ASI Fort Worth, judges said, \u201cASI knocked our \u2018swaggy\u2019 socks off with their keen ability to listen to their members and create a \u2018better sense of community.\u2019 Their decision to move their show to Fort Worth from Dallas allowed them to offer a \u2018total city takeover.\u2019 This resulted in showgoers running into each other everywhere and enjoying many WOW experiences together, fostering deeper connections.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the strategy behind the move to Fort Worth in 2019 resulted in increased attendance, up nearly 14% year over year, along with an increase in exhibitors, up nearly 12% year over year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the entire team, I want to thank everyone who voted for our very first Fort Worth show, helping us earn the prestigious \u2018Best of Show\u2019 award,\u201d said Rita Ugianskis-Fishman, senior vice president and general manager of ASI Show. \u201cIt\u2019s always a little bit of a risk moving a popular show and I sincerely appreciate everyone\u2019s willingness to try something new and make ASI Fort Worth such a success. We\u2019ll deliver another great show in Texas in February and hope to see everyone again in 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The awards were announced at the 10th anniversary of the 2019 TSNN Awards in Dallas, TX, with a gala celebration at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Other awards included fastest-growing show for net square footage, fastest-growing association and for-profit shows for attendance, sustainability award and the industry icon award. There are over 6,000 shows in the U.S. alone.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0ASI Show<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0launched its inaugural trade show in Fort Worth last February with a one-hour keynote with former First Lady Laura Bush and her daughter,\u00a0<em>Today Show<\/em>\u00a0correspondent Jenna Hager. The three-day show (#ASIFortWorth) at the Fort Worth Convention Center grew to over 4,300 attendees, with 433 exhibitors. The show attracted exhibitors and distributors from 43 states and four countries, along with 724 companies from Texas, 200 women-owned and 185 minority-owned companies.
